What we liked
- + No adjustment needed: automatic control holds a preset 78 degrees F with a listed accuracy of plus or minus 3 degrees
- + Red light shows heating and green shows the target has been reached, and it mounts vertically or horizontally
- + Listed for glass or acrylic desktop tanks from 1 to 6 gallons, at a budget price
Trade-offs
- - Temperature is fixed at 78 degrees F and cannot be changed if a tank needs a different setting
- - Not suitable for tanks under 1 gallon, and the listing asks for a pump or filter to circulate water while heating
