What we liked
- + A 12-piece pack gives spares for several filters or regular replacement, at a low price per piece.
- + Listing states a 0.83 inch hole diameter and a 3.4 inch length, which suits many small intake tubes.
- + Listed as high-density foam that traps debris and food waste and keeps water flowing, for fresh or marine tanks.
Trade-offs
- - Needs a snug fit on the intake, so tubes much thicker or thinner than 0.83 inch will not suit.
- - It is a multi-pack of small sponges, so it does not suit tanks that want one large coarse sponge.
