What we liked
- + Kit includes the 2 gallon glass tank, a 3-color LED light and a filter with an adjustable pump and sponge
- + Light has adjustable brightness and 3, 9 or 12 hour timer settings
- + Top cover lifts off for cleaning and decorating, and a front feeding port means the lid can stay on at feeding time
Trade-offs
- - No heater is listed in the kit, so one must be added separately if the tank needs heating
- - Listing gives no dimensions or filter flow rate, and 2 gallons leaves little room for plants and hardscape
