What we liked
- + Listing gives compact dimensions of 7.8 x 5.8 x 6 inches, so it fits desks, counters and shelves.
- + Includes a hidden filter pump and an LED with 3 color modes and 10 brightness levels, so it works out of the box.
- + The lid has a dedicated feeding opening, which limits evaporation and lets you feed without lifting the whole cover.
Trade-offs
- - The tank is acrylic rather than glass, and acrylic can scratch more easily than glass during cleaning.
- - One gallon is a very small volume for a betta, so water quality needs close attention; the brand is not widely known.
